Inspired Physical Therapy was established in August 2014 and moved to its permanent location in Mechanicsburg on June 1, 2015. The mission of Inspired Physical Therapy is to “be the industry leader in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation” and to “help patients achieve their optimal level of function and performance,” something that Jim Clahane is passionate about and fears that professionals in the medical field lose sight of at times.

A hot, nutritious meal, every day of the week served from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. – no cost and no questions asked. This is the basic mission of Downtown Daily Bread (DDB) in Harrisburg: to provide lunches to the homeless, the needy and the hungry. A simple act of charity, perhaps, yet the impact on the lives of those who it has helped is extraordinary and far-reaching.

You’ll know who they are as soon as you see them this Month. They’ll be wearing pink sunglasses, pink boas, pink bow ties and maybe a pink glitter beard. These are Real Men, and they’re showing off their support for breast cancer awareness through an innovative fundraiser as part of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. Called Real Men Wear Pink, this fun way to raise monies for The American Cancer Society is new to Central Pennsylvania. Laura Weis, senior director, division communications, American Cancer Society, Inc., is thrilled to have the opportunity to launch it in the region.
