This time of year evokes memories of Christmases long ago when a familiar scene in the home comprised that of a decorated conifer under which circled a model train. However, for some, that “season” never ended. Model railroading has become a year-round hobby enjoyed by millions of Americans. One group dedicated to this purpose is the Keystone Model Railroad Historical Society (KMRHS), headquartered in an early 20th-Century trolley station at the west end of Mechanicsburg.

Dr. Robert Myers is an energetic and accomplished man. He appears to thrive on keeping his hand in a variety of activities and enterprises, although the general public knows him as a skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon, senior partner at Wood & Myers of Camp Hill and Harrisburg. Bailey Wood started the practice in 1981, and Myers joined him in 2000.

Some of the most fulfilled people are those who cannot wait to get up in the morning and go to work. His energy level and enthusiasm identify Gary Huether, Jr. as one in that enviable group. The 36-year-old Camp Hill man is president and co-founder of Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar. He oversees 10 corporate-owned locations as well as several franchises throughout the New England and the Mid-Atlantic countryside. His partner is Mike Murphy, who deals with the real-estate and finance side of the business.
