S.A.G.E. 2015 Award Winners

The 2015 S.A.G.E. winners lead very different lives, but all share a common philosophy: Do what needs to be done. It comes up in every conversation, with the overseas mission leader and the hospice volunteer, the philanthropy matchmaker and the Santa Shop creator, the educator and the couple who starts each day with a pledge to help others. They see needs, and they try to fill them. They roll up their sleeves, and they go to work with the talents they were given.

Crossing the Harvey Taylor

Crossing the Harvey Taylor

There is one bridge in Central Pa. that defies any form of numerical highway recognition and connects the Camp Hill Bypass to Forster Street in Harrisburg – the M. Harvey Taylor Bridge. No one, including local broadcasters and traffic reporters, call it anything but “the Harvey Taylor” in their reports, nor does anyone traversing it either in a car or on foot. Built in 1952, the bridge was named for one of the most influential Pennsylvania politicians of the 20th Century, M. (Maris) Harvey Taylor.

He remembered the 2008 interview because we were the first to ask about a gubernatorial run. He claimed it made him think, “This is kind of fun. That wouldn’t be a bad idea.”
