36th Annual Long's Park Art & Craft Festival

Lancaster, PA - The Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation announces the 36th Annual  Long’s Park Art & Craft Festival.   Since 1979, we have been treating Lancaster-area residents plus county and regional  visitors to a three-day Labor Day weekend tradition of fine art and culture. This event was established to help support the Long’s Park Summer Music Series, a 52-year free concert event introducing nationally known and local musicians to the Lancaster community.

Over the Labor Day weekend, Long’s Park becomes an outdoor art gallery with 200 artisans from 34 states and Ontario, Canada exhibiting their creations, from ceramics, glass, jewelry, leather and metal to photography, digital art and wearable fiber. Show dates and hours are Friday, August 29th and Saturday, August 30th, 10am to 6pm, and Sunday, August 31st, 10am to 5pm.  Single-day tickets are $10 and multi-day tickets are $15.

Musical entertainment and artist demonstrations are scheduled at various times each day and a Park Pub will offer wine, mimosas and a signature cocktail along with craft beers. Local restaurants and caterers serve up an array of food from barbeque to gourmet dishes.

In his introductory letter for this year’s gate catalog, Governor Tom Corbett shared, “I commend the Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation Board, its volunteers and the people of Lancaster County who have built the Long’s Park Art and Craft Festival into one of America’s Top 50 Fine Art and Craft Shows. It is my hope that the festival will continue to highlight the arts and provide the Lancaster community with quality entertainment for years to come.”  Mayor Richard Gray wrote, “Be sure to take home some arts and crafts to beautify your surroundings and remind you of your visit. While you are here, I invite you to see more of our beautiful City. Come visit our historic downtown Lancaster and enjoy its great restaurants, shops, museums, galleries and bounty of visual treasures.”

Event attendees can view a complete list of exhibitors, see the music schedule and get directions to Long’s Park on our recently redesigned website www.longspark.org .  Discounted single-day tickets may also be purchased in advance on the website.
