Hilton to Open Two New Restaurants Thursday
Hilton Harrisburg will bring a fresh start to Restaurant Row with Thursday’s Grand Opening of its two new restaurants: 1700 Degrees Steakhouse and Ad Lib Craft Kitchen & Bar.
1700 Degrees Steakhouse brings a sophisticated, high-end steakhouse to a region hungering for one. It will feature Midwestern prime, dry-aged beef and certified Angus beef seared to perfection in the restaurant’s specialized 1700 degree broiler. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 5:30 to 10 p.m., and all dinner guests receive complimentary valet parking.
Ad Lib offers the casual market a new take on a traditional American tavern, with favorite food and drinks turned on their side and full of surprises. Guests may choose from over 40 small plates, more than 30 wines by the glass, and at least 60 selections of beer, as well as an ever-changing list of craft, barrel-aged and edible cocktails. Ad Lib serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and a late night crowd daily.
Both restaurants are located in the space formerly occupied by Raspberries and Market Square Cafe. The Golden Sheaf, for 22 years Harrisburg’s only AAA four-diamond restaurant, will become a private meeting and event room.
The steakhouse dining room’s large windows overlook Market Square and its centerpiece, an eight-foot-high glass wine wall, will house more than 900 bottles from its award-winning wine list while upholding The Golden Sheaf’s legendary reputation among wine aficionados. 1700 Degrees Steakhouse will seamlessly blend a rustic interior with a white linen experience, adding artistry to the presentation and the highest level of professionalism to the service.
Ad Lib, with its open kitchen and WoodStone oven, will offer everything from mac 'n' cheese with Middleswarth bbq chip crust to roasted oysters to flatbreads.
The Grand Openings are helping to kick off the Hilton Harrisburg’s 25th anniversary year and are the street level reflection of the luxury hotel’s facility-wide multi-million dollar renovation.
Executive Chef John Reis, who has been with the hotel since its 1990 opening, heads up the 1700 Degrees Steakhouse kitchen, while Executive Sous Chef Anthony Bianco is charting Ad Lib’s culinary direction.
Hilton Harrisburg, which opened its doors November 1, 1990, is a 341-room luxury hotel that employs 300 associates in an effort to make sure that the quarter million guests it serves each year are happy with their stays. It is managed by Greenwood Hospitality Group.
