This Sunday: Bacon & Brew Ha Ha for Elliott's New Wheels
This Sunday, July 27th, head on over to Appalachian Brewing Company for Bacon & Brew Ha Ha, your chance to enjoy tasty bacon dishes and local home brews while helping a local family raise money to offset the hefty cost of a wheelchair-accessible van necessary to get their 6-year-old son, Elliott, out and about in the world.
Elliott has mobility limitations brought about by a range of disabilities including blindness, Cerebral Palsy and chronic lung disease, all which make him 100 percent dependent on his parents. His wheelchair no longer fits in a standard vehicle, and as he grows and develops, it becomes harder and harder for his parents to transport him. A wheelchair-accessible van would help accommodate the growing boy, and with a $50,000 price tag on the necessary vehicle, it's no wonder Elliott's mother, Lisa Oreo, is looking for your assistance.
Advance tickets for Bacon & Brew Ha Ha are $25 for a set number of beer/food samples and $15 for a set number of food/non-alcoholic beverage samples. Tickets will be available at the door at the cost of $30 for beer/food samples and $20 for food/non alcoholic beverages. This is an all-ages event, but you must be 21 to consume alcohol.
All the proceeds of this event will benefit Elliott's New Wheels.
