EWI of Harrisburg and Leadership Harrisburg Area 1st Annual Signature Event
EWI of Harrisburg and Leadership Harrisburg Area are proud to present the 1st annual LEAD BY EXAMPLE event. This signature event honors the business and professional women in our community. We are excited to welcome keynote speaker Jane Grote Abell.
Jane is a founding family member of Donatos Pizza (headquartered outside Columbus, Ohio) and currently holds the title of Chairwoman of the Board. Donatos Pizza has nearly 200 locations in seven states. Jane’s business philosophy is to “lead by example” – a philosophy she learned from her dad, Jim Grote (the founder of Donatos Pizza).
In her inspiring keynote, Jane shares the store of a classic American family business, including her insightful account of a lifelong education in leadership, authenticity and running a values-based company. Audiences will hear key learnings from her four decades of experience growing a small pizza shop on the Southside of Columbus into a company that eventually sold to the biggest restaurant company in the world – McDonald’s. Jane shares insider stories from under the golden arches, how the family eventually bought the business back and the things she learned along the way. Jane will also touch on her experience on CBS’s hit series “Undercover Boss,” her book “The Missing Pieces: Doing Business the Donatos’ Way” and her signature “4C’s of Success.”
