HERSHEY, Pa. – Nov. 3, 2015 – Have a “ball”—a snowball, that is—at The Hershey Story Museum as “Snowball Saturdays” return for the holidays. Families can also create lasting holiday memories through an array of seasonally-themed Chocolate Lab classes and “Little Elves Workshop.”

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The elves have once again set up their workshop, where kids of all ages can create their own unique ornament out of chocolate clay.  Participants will roll, cut and ice their creations and design their own packaging.  Children also can test some vintage toys, and the whole family can pose in front of a snowy Hershey scene for a holiday photo opportunity. $5.00 per ornament; adults many accompany participating children at no charge.

Friendly indoor snowball fights are the centerpiece of this holiday event!  In addition, kids can visit with winter characters, including a snowman, and hear stories about wintertime fun. Free; admission to the Museum Experience not required.

Rock Around the Clock at The Hershey Story Museum
Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kids can celebrate the New Year throughout the day at The Hershey Story as they “Rock Around the Clock” on Thursday, December 31, 2015.  “Bubble-wrap stomps” at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. add to the fun, and between stomps, children can groove through five decades of party music. Activities take place in the museum’s Grand Lobby and patio (weather permitting). Free; admission to the Museum Experience not required.

New Year’s Scavenger Hunt at The Hershey Story Museum
Jan. 1-3, 2016
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Search through the museum for signs of the New Year with a fun-filled scavenger hunt, complete with a sweet reward. Free with Museum Experience admission.

Holiday-themed Chocolate Lab classes are being held Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, through Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.
Guests can enjoy a 45-minute class where they learn about chocolate and make their own chocolate treat. Visit HersheyStory.org for a daily class schedule; ticket purchase required; children must be at least four years old to enter the lab. Class themes are as follows:

Candy Cane Bark – Layer milk and white chocolate with chunks of peppermint candy to create your own, fresh candy cane bark.

Chocolate Reindeer – Use white and milk chocolate and toppings to create an edible reindeer.

Create a Kris Kringle – Mold a vintage chocolate Santa to take home.

Make a Very Merry Bar – Mold and customize a milk chocolate bar using holiday decorations.  

Exclusively on Snowball Saturdays (Dec. 5, 12 and 19):
Let it Snow Chocolate – Create a deliciously edible winter scene using chocolate and snow flake candy sprinkles.  

Marshmallow Mischief – Dunk giant marshmallows in melted chocolate, then roll in holiday toppings. Finish by packaging your custom marshmallow treat in a holiday package to take home.
