Members 1st Federal Credit Union presents a check for $5,000 to the Sgt. Adam C. Schoeller, USMC, Memorial Fund, Inc
Associates from Members 1st Federal Credit Union raised a total of $5,000 via a weeklong Halloween decoration and costume contest/fundraiser that included 60 branch locations and their corporate offices. The Halloween contest is a long standing tradition at Members 1st that spans back to the 1990’s. Each year a new charitable organization is selected to receive the proceeds collected over the weeklong “fun-raiser”. This year’s deserving organization is the Sgt. Adam C. Schoeller, USMC, Memorial Fund, Inc. Sgt. Schoeller was a local marine that perished in the line of duty during a training mission in Hawaii in January of 2016. The mission of the organization is to distribute funds to organizations that provide direct service and support to members of the military and their families. George Nahodil, President/CEO of Members 1st will be presenting the check to the family on Friday, November 10th at 2 p.m., at the Walnut Bottom Road branch located at 1166 Walnut Bottom Road in Carlisle. “Members 1st was established in 1950 on the Navy Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg and has a well-established history of serving military families. With Veterans Day approaching, the Sgt. Adam C. Schoeller, USMC, Memorial Fund, Inc. could not be a more fitting organization for us to support,” stated President/CEO, George Nahodil.
