NEW FARMERS MARKET COMING TO DOWNTOWN HERSHEY

April 7, 2015, Hershey, PA— Fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese, and other local specialties will soon be available through a new artisanal farmers market presented by the Downtown Hershey Association. Market on Chocolate will be held every Saturday morning from May through September, 9 am to 1 pm in front of the Hershey Post Office on Chocolate Avenue and will give people the opportunity to purchase local products and enjoy farm-to-table produce.

Community News: Shipoke Grounddog Day Celebration

While Punxsutawney celebrates Groundhog Day this winter, Harrisburg’s riverfront Shipoke neighborhood will hold its annual Grounddog Day celebration featuring “Shipoke Sheena,” our own furry prognosticator. The event, open to the public, is set for 10:00 am on Saturday, January 31, 2015, in the Conoy Street Kiddie Park (corner of Race and Conoy Streets). The event will feature a ceremony in which Sheena will make a prediction about the weather.
