One Story, One Letter, One Winner
On a gorgeous spring evening in April, I arrived at the fabulous Devon Seafood Grill in the Hershey Press Building. The polished wood and modern décor features long mirrors and an entire wall of faux fire. The soft lighting and warm red glow above the bar creates an ambiance that is truly inviting. From the sophisticated modern art on the walls, to the high round tables, to the many televisions, to the intimate booths, Devon Seafood Grill offers a comfortable, relaxed setting and some of the finest food I’ve ever enjoyed in the area.
The dinner menu featured a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert. Appetizers included a Tuna Sushi Roll, a half-pound of Coconut Green Curry Mussels, Goat Cheese Bruschetta, a Caesar Salad or a choice of three homemade seafood soups. The sushi was flavorful and presented like a piece of art on a white oblong dish. The Hershey-kiss-shaped wasabi sauce added that special Hershey trademark to the dish. The Bruschetta on focaccia crisps features kalamata olive tapenade. Both appetizers were enhanced by sweet biscuits and butter.
Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and Vegetable Ravioli with Sautéed Lobster were two amazing entrees offered. The ravioli was served with thinly sliced basil, leeks, spinach and tomatoes. Pine nuts, Parmigianino reggiano and lobster cream sauce blended into one harmonious dish. Other entrees available were San Francisco Style Cioppino, Mesquite Grilled PA Rainbow Trout and Chipotle Grilled Shrimp Enchiladas.
Dessert provided the perfect ending to the night. The Crème Brule and Hershey’s Chocolate Velvet Cake provided all the sweetness and grandeur that Hershey is famous for supplying. Both desserts were generous portions decorated with fresh berries and whipped cream. The entire experience was euphoric.
The occasion for my feast was April’s Restaurant Week. Ten Hershey restaurants participate in this festive opportunity to experience some of the finest selections on the menus at extremely reasonable set prices for lunch or dinner. Three courses are offered for $30 at dinner and three courses for $15 are offered at lunch.
The good news is that September’s Restaurant Week, which runs from September 12 through September 18, promises to be all that April’s was and more. You, as readers, have the unique opportunity to win “Dinner for Two” this September at the participating restaurant of your choice! With a little ingenuity, you can begin scanning those online menus at www.hersheypa.com/things_to_do/dining/restaurant_week.php. The most difficult aspect of this contest is narrowing your choice to only one restaurant because they each offer something splendid. Whether it’s the atmosphere, the menu or even the view, you will spend an unforgettable night compliments of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts.
